Review: I Don’t Forgive You by Aggie Blum Thompson

Gripping, entertaining, heart-pounding and unputdownable. Those are just a few of the words I’d use to describe this incredible debut novel.

From the opening scene, this fast-paced thriller pulls readers deep into the suburban world of photographer Allie Ross. Allie knows she doesn’t fit the mold of the rest of her new upper class neighbours but is willing to adapt for the sake of her husband and son. Unfortunately, someone from Allie’s past is determined to turn her new life upside down and take away everything, and everyone, that she loves.

There were many times I thought I had this book figured out, just to have the story go in a completely different direction. I love a book that keeps me guessing to the very end and I DON’T FORGIVE YOU did just that.

This book has it all. Suburban drama, relatable characters, crisp writing and shocking twists. It’s hard to believe this is Thompson’s debut novel and I can’t wait to read whatever she writes next.

Thank you to the author and Macmillan-Tor/Forge for the advance reading copy.
